Turbo Generator

A turbo generator is obtained by connecting a turbine to a conventional electric generator, and it also functions to generate electricity.
Around the world, large steam powered turbo generators are most commonly adopted for producing electric power. They are also regularly used in steam powered turbo-electric ships. Smaller steam turbine generators usually serve as auxiliary power units, to provide energy for functions rather than propulsion.
In comparison with diesel generators, turbo generators are much lighter in weight and need smaller space. However, diesel generators have higher fuel efficiency and reliability over turbo generators.
Using a combined cycle is one way to improve the operation efficiency of large gas turbine plants. That is, to recycle the hot exhaust gases to generate steam which functions to drive another turbo generator.

We can provide WTQF and WTFW series turbo electric generators. WTQF series generators employ static thyristor excitation while WTFW series adopts brushless excitation. Both series of turbo generators are characterized by rational design, compact structure, reliable operation, convenient maintenance, long service life, low forced outage rate, and so on.

Applications
Our turbo generators can be used in combination with various gas turbines, and they find applications in industries like petroleum, chemical, sugar making, metallurgy, and textile, etc. They are also applicable for TRT projects in iron making and coking industries. Meanwhile, they are also widely used in straw burning power stations and power generation plants that provide not only electricity but also heating.
